Conveyors and Materials Handling was established in 1988 by the vision of our founder, Robert LaBelle. While working in El Paso for General Instruments Corp., Mr. LaBelle discovered a void in representation for materials and equipment in the borderland. With the growth of the Maquiladoras and manufacturing in Mexico, the production lines and facilities were struggling to acquire the equipment necessary to maintain efficient operations. Another issue identified by Mr. LaBelle was the language barrier between the Spanish speaking manufacturing facilities and the English speaking equipment suppliers.
Mr. LaBelle began to learn Spanish and started contacting production managers to determine what equipment was needed in the facilities. Conveyors and Materials Handling was born as we began to sign on and represent equipment distribution for the Food and Beverage, Automotive, Pharmaceutical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Household products industries, general production lines, and warehousing industries.
As Conveyors and Materials Handling continued to grow, we began to make direct hires out of the Maquiladoras in Juarez, Mexico. These engineers have knowledge and experience in the projects and needs in these production facilities. The close relationships and our award-winning service created an exemplary reputation for the C&MH team.
As we found success along the border, we found opportunities to expand into Central Mexico and the manufacturing belt around Mexico City. This expansion created opportunities to work with industry leading equipment suppliers and create relationships with many Fortune 500 companies as they expanded into Mexico with the signing of NAFTA.
The success we have found in Mexico has allowed us to begin exploring expanded opportunities in the United States. We have a young and motivated sales team located throughout the Southern and Southwestern United States. It was Mr. LaBelle's vision to bring the same award-winning service we expect in Mexico to an expanded customer base in the United States. With the support of our leadership who have over 30 years of experience in the industry, we expect great things from our expanding team!

What We Do
At C&MH, we work directly with our customers to understand their unique equipment and storage needs. As technology changes, we recognize that each project requires a new measure of insight and innovation. Our individual salesmen have the expertise to adapt to these challenges.
We communicate and coordinate directly with our customers to understand their production facility or storage needs. Our sales team will take the time to visit our customers as many times and as often as necessary to fully understand the scope of any project, and maintain a focus on meeting all safety considerations at the company, local, or national level. After fully understanding the requirements of our customer, we will then contact the equipment suppliers we represent to create the fully customizable solutions to fit their needs.
In the design stage, we work with industry leaders in equipment and automation design and supply to meet the needs of our customers. From automated conveyor systems, to full bottling and capping lines, to the end of the line packing and palletizing solutions our customers require, Conveyors and Materials Handling can handle full projects or replacement parts and services. The C&MH team is set up to complete drawings and layouts of projects, meet with the customer to understand special design instructions, and works with our installers to ensure quality through all stages.
Through the installation, training, and continued use of the project, the C&MH team continues constant contact to guarantee customer satisfaction with the projects we supply. As replacement parts or new equipment needs arise from our customers, Conveyors and Materials Handling is prepared to create the efficient and leading solution to fill the continuing needs of our customers.
